PUBLIC SAFETY

Since becoming the Post 4 County Commissioner we have lowered the county wide ISO (Insurance Services Office) to a 5 which translates into lower homeowners insurance rates.  It is my intention to continue to work towards an ISO of 4 providing greatly enhanced fire protection and lowered insurance rates.

I will make sure our law enforcement is properly equipped and trained.

I will work to protect our homes and businesses by letting the criminal element know Cherokee County is not the place to break the law.
COMMUNITY PLANNING

Continue to work closely with the School Board to ensure proper planning and growth.

Implement the Counties long term Future Land Use Map to guide growth.

Make sure we are providing and requiring appropriate infrastructure in high growth areas

Continue to seek additional Federal and State funding for our roads to alleviate traffic back-ups

Target and identify more enterprise zones for business growth.
PARKS and RECREATION

As current Vice Chair of the Cherokee County Recreation and Parks Authority, I Work closely with the Commission to ensure continued proper planning and growth.

Establish additional green space.

Ensure Cherokee County Parks are properly funded.
